It was a case of so near, and yet so far for Andy Murray as he crashed out of the French Open after an enthralling semi-final match against Novak Djokovic.
Murray's hopes of winning a third grand slam title were crushed as the world number one beat him 6-3 6-3 5-7 5-7 6-1 at Roland Garros.
The epic match began yesterday, but had to be suspended because of rain just as the British number one was beginning to fight back against the Serb.
