Caitlyn Jenner Had a 'Little Bit of a Panic Attack' Following Feminization Surgery...

It's no surprise that Caitlyn Jenner's journey has been an emotional one.
With her lifelong dream of being a woman becoming a reality following a 10-hour facial-feminization and body surgery a few months back, Jenner had a myriad of emotions, according to the star's plastic surgeons.
"It's difficult to suddenly get the realization, I guess, that you're getting fulfillment of what you've always wanted to have done," Dr. Gary Atler — who performed work on Jenner's body, including her breast augmentation — said in a joint interview with fellow surgeon Dr. Harrison Lee for E! News. "You know, long surgery, a lot of changes — so there was a little bit of a panic attack. But it could happen to anybody. It can happen to the housewife that gets a facelift, it can happen to a young girl who gets a breast implant."
Atler continued, "It's not because she had facial feminization or body surgery, it's just because this was a major change."

Lee shared that Jenner was thrilled with the work of the surgeons.
"I don't want to show off, but I think she's ecstatic with the results," said Lee, who did the facial feminization. "She healed remarkably fast. Maybe because she's an Olympic athlete... I mean, at 65, she is in remarkable health."

Lee said that people who have the procedure can take up to a year to heal. Judging by Jenner's Vanity Fair shoot, it took just a few months despite the intensive surgeries.
"Men tend to have a prominent brow bone," Lee said while describing the procedure. "[So you] do a little bit of a brow lift, just to soften the image." As for Caitlyn's jaw, "We go inside the mouth and actually take off the outer portion of the bone and soften it."
Jenner seems happy with their work as well. Not only did she enjoy striking a pose for Vanity Fair, she thanked Harrison for his work. A photo of Jenner posing with Harrison while holding up an autographed copy of the magazine was posted online by one of Lee's employees.
"To Harrison, Great Job Thank you so much Caitlyn Jenner," it said on the cover.
In the interview, which was released last week, Jenner admitted that she had a whirlwind of emotions after her surgery. "What did I just do?" the Olympian recalled thinking. "What did I just do to myself."
However, she also said it was necessary, sharing, "I'm not doing this to be interesting. I'm doing this to live."

With the major facial and body surgery complete, Jenner has another procedure — for genital surgery – in her future. However, that isn't at the top of her list as far as her transition goes.
"If you have a list of 10 reasons to transition, sex would be number 10," the star told Vanity Fair. Jenner said she had no plans for the operation at this point, but by the time her upcoming E! reality show, I Am Cait, debuts on July 26, that may have changed.
